Cross functional experience in marketing, advertising, law, programming, content and most importantly in the game development industry. He has deep knowledge in the gaming domain, understand various technologies and game engines across game platforms and above all have experience in client and vendor acquisition – negotiating and closing deals in the gaming industry.
Has a combined experience solely in gaming and related fields of approx. 5 years.
Started my career with Procter and Gamble where I was involved with in the launch phase of P&G’s youth portal masti.com
I am currently the senior product manager at Zapak where I am heading new product development, content acquisition, developer relations (including outsourcing) and India’s first casual downloadable games services on Zapak.
Immediately prior to joining Zapak I worked with Jump Games (Paradox Studios) where:
a. I led Jump (Paradox) into the online/downloadable casual gaming product and services business with the launch of Reef Raff, India’s first casual downloadable game. Reef Raff was published on Big Fish Games, AOL and Real Arcade. No games from India till date has been directly accepted by these portals from an Indian developer.
b. Launched Paradox’s all three (all) PC titles in Europe and Eurasia, the only three PC game titles indigenously developed by an Indian developer and published outside India.
c. Was involved in many licensing deals for mobile games including Fido Dido, Doha Asian
Games and Miss World.
Besides the above I have written over 100 articles as a freelance writer, including those related to the Indian gaming industry, since the past 8 years for newspapers and magazines such as Digit, Skoar!, Times Computing, Bombay Times, The Indian Express, Lawyer’s Collective and Jetwings.
A White Paper on “Jurisdictional Issues in Cyber Crime prosecutions” presented by me at the 2004 edition of the Cyber Safety Week, an event organized by NASSCOM and the Mumbai Police, was awarded the first prize. The paper was later published in Lawyer’s Collective.
