'Slugterrainea' Animation News Officially launching this week, Slugterrainea is the latest action and adventure animation from the Vancouverite cartoonists of Nerd Corps Entertainment. Although not scheduled to hit airwaves until next year, Slugterrainea promises to nestle in quite comfortably in producer's library of boy-targeted animation that have a little bit of fantasy, a little bit of comedy, and a little bit of action mixed together. The new TV series takes place underground and tracks the whereabouts of a young warrior and the critters key to his success (and survival). Slugterrainea focuses on Elias Shane, a quick-footed kid who knows these craggy, drippy labyrinths of darkness like the back of his hand. But it takes more than an internal compass to stay alive in this world. Elias is a pretty active fighter, both in friendly duels and against the morally questionable, when equipped with SLUGS. These little critters are the live ammo for Elias and his pals (critters, which after being unleashed, are neither little nor mere "critters" for very long). According to Nerd Corps, Slugterrainea will integrate a healthy sci-fi/fantasy element into its story of one boy's subterranean adventure.
