Call it the CHOTE USTAD effect where Pritam is one of the judges but the fact is that the prolific composer has now also gone ahead and signed a children's film. Titled KUTTI CHETAN AND FRIENDS, the film is one of the many animation films which would be coming out of Indian cinema in months to come.

Confirms Pritam, "Yes, I have signed the film. It should be a unique experience for me considering I have been giving music for so many other genres over last few years. However, creating music for a kids' film should be a challenge in itself."

Irshad Kamil is writing the lyrics for the film.

Produced by V Rajeshwar Rao, KUTTI CHETAN AND FRIENDS is directed by Deepak Subhash Jadhav who is also the co-producer of the film. A 100 minute affair, this 12 crore film would be released in six languages ? Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bhojpuri and English.

KUTTI CHETAN AND FRIENDS is a story of a mischievous blue spirit with no memory of his legendary past. The film is looking at a December 2008 release.
